Black Rock Creek (1996)

Black Rock Creek is a tributary to the South Fork of the Feather River. This project consisted of spot treatment of a one-mile entrenched channel with eroding banks. Large 29 woody debris and boulders were placed strategically to protect banks, reduce sedimentation and improve fish habitat. Some structures were damaged in the January 1997 flood, but some also remained and are achieving the project objectives.
