Greenhorn Creek-New England Ranch (2003)

This project within the Greenhorn Creek watershed was on the New England Ranch, and consisted of meadow restoration and ditch obliteration. Project cost of $5,500 was paid by the landowner and the Natural Resource Conservation Service's Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP). Seven hundred feet of old, downcut irrigation ditch was obliterated using the pond and plug technique to restore 10 acres of floodplain function to the meadow.
